I hope I'm not strange, but I really love film music. Both from films I've seen and I did not. The music litterally tells a story and conveys emotions in them often without words. I really like that.
I also have a slight preference toward upbeat folk music (I hope that has the same defention in English). It's what I like playing most on my violin, not that I can't appreciate other genres. Just don't give me like random sounds and voices that are tempered with, that annoys me. xD - though the chipmunks were cute for a song or two, I'll throw a shoe when I need to hear it 20 times *has brother* -
Yep, and a lot of the singers have had loved ones die, gone through depression etc. And the songs are about how love, and hope have saved them. I listen to the songs because they are upbeat, show triumph over sorrow and pain . For me it's helped with my severe clinical depression a lot. If I get depressed and need something to listen to when I'm lonely I just pull up K-Love radio or play my youtube playlist.
This is the first one I actually was able to relate to, and led me to listening to Christian rock.
